ROAD TO NEGRITUDE

EXPLORING INTERSECTIONALITY

Saturday April 19, 2025 · 6:30pm-9pm
Cielo Galleries

All-Ages · Donation-Based Entry

We’re kicking off The Road to Negritude with a powerful evening of community-led conversation.

Join us in exploring intersectionality, where we’ll gather in guided conversation circles to reflect on the complexities of navigating Blackness through the lens of gender, sexuality, class, and other intersecting identities.

This is not a panel—it’s an invitation.
Facilitators will open space with thoughtful questions, and you’ll be welcomed to share, listen, or simply hold space. Whether you’re more introverted, extroverted, or somewhere in between, your presence matters.

This gathering is designed to honor the beauty, nuance, and power of intersectional experience—and to remind us that liberation must make space for all of who we are.

This is the first in a series of community events leading up to Negritude Fest—a celebration of Afro-diasporic culture centering queer and femme voices through art, music, and storytelling.
